Sandra Gail Lambert is the author of My Withered Legs and Other Essays in which a seventy-year history of disability is threaded throughout writings that celebrate lesbian love, explore the slapstick moments of life, and share the obstacles and triumphs of becoming a writer later in life.  She has also written the Krause Essay Prize and Lambda Literary Award nominated-memoir A Certain Loneliness as well as the novels The Sacrifice Zone and The River’s Memory. Her work has been widely anthologized and published by The New York Times, The Sun Magazine, Orion, and The Paris Review. She is an NEA Creative Writing Fellow. Lambert lives with her wife in Gainesville, Florida—a home base for trips to her beloved rivers and marshes.
